I made this card over a year ago for my husband for our anniversary - and haven't gotten around to posting it. Though I like the design, I wasn't completely happy with the embossing. But, Sharon Johnson posted an oldie of hers today in her challenge to make a card about Love - and that inspired me to go ahead and post this one as well. It's an oldie and it's about love...
This is probably my very favorite heart stamp of all time - Scroll Heart Large by Stampington. I stamped it with Castaway ink which provides a bleach effect, but without all the mess. You stamp it and then iron it to reveal the bleached look. Pretty cool, if you you've never played with it. Everything else is very straightforward.
Supplies:
-
Stamps: Scroll Heart Large (Stampington), Shakespeare (Wordsworth)
-
Ink: Castaway, Versamark
-
Patterned Paper: 7 Gypsies
-
Cardstock: red & tan (Bazzill)
-
Other: brad (can't remember... sorry), ribbon (Michael's), gold embossing powder, gold Krylon pen
I have a couple of other Valentine cards in the works - and will be posting them soon. In the meantime, thanks for looking - and have a great weekend!
This is so gorgeous! I'm so glad you took the inspiration from Sharon and posted it!! Just beautiful!!
